250 Weavers gathered for the Weavers National Hui October 2009. Kindly hosted by Ngati Kahungunu Raranga Whatu Committee at Takitimu Marae, Wairoa in Northern Hawkes Bay.
This biennial gathering hosts the countries foremost practitioners in weaving. Weavers; young and old, students, well known artists and respected elders will gather together to demonstrate their skills and learn from one another.
