My work reflects a process of exploration and interpretation of traditional Māori designs and motifs drawn from whakairo, kōwhaiwhai, tukutuku and taniko using non-traditional materials.
Pieces are constructed using sterling silver plate, wire and copper and feature hand carved finishing, which create the point of difference, imparting unique character to my work.
I have exhibited nationally and internationally, and the majority of my work is held in the US and Canada. Examples of my work are held in the permanent collections of Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington and the Dowse Gallery, Lower Hutt.
