I was born in Kanagawa, Japan. I have been living in Rotorua since 1999. I started Raranga at Waiariki Institute of Technology in 2007 and studied there for 2 years. I began to work on my Toi Paematua Raranga at Te wananga O Aotearoa in 2010 and graduated Toi Paematua Level 6. 

I have been doing hand craft like knitting, sewing and embroidery for as long as I can remember. My family used to own a silk warm farm which produced silk thread and weaved silk materials by using loom. I believe that working with fibre and weaving natural materials are in my DNA. Since Raranga was introduced into my life, Raranga has become a true passion of mine. I love combining Japanese traditions with Raranga to tell the stories that are unique to me.
