The distinctive sound of Māori music continues to evolve. Traditional practices are given a different voice with new tools. New compositions continue to be made for traditional practices.

 

Pūatatangi comprises a national network of Māori musicians willing to share expertise in Māori music.

Pūatatangi supports the Māori music industry and promotes Māori music within the work of Toi Māori Aotearoa.

 

The work of Pūatatangi embraces Te Ara Pūoro – the Spectrum of Māori Musical Creativity.
