Fijian, Te Rarawa, Ngāti Tūwharetoa
Margaret Aull is a Māori Fijian artist, curator, and arts advocate whose work bridges painting, sculpture, and installation to explore whakapapa, cultural knowledge systems, and identity. Her practice is grounded in both her Te Rarawa, Tūwharetoa, and Fijian heritage, and she has exhibited widely across Aotearoa, the Pacific, the United States, Australia, and Morocco. Alongside her creative practice, Aull is an advisor and advocate working across strategy, policy, and community development. She maintains strong international engagement and supports Indigenous arts through advisory and support roles with Toi Māori Aotearoa, Creative New Zealand, and iwi-based collectives including Toi Tūwharetoa and Toi Ngā Puhi. She has been a member of Te Ātinga since 2014 and currently serves as co-Chair.
