Hiriwa | Silver collection

Sterling silver has become a common material in the works of Māori artists such as Alex Nathan and Wendy Whitehead. Although it is a non-traditional material, it is regularly used to interpret traditional Māori designs drawn from whakairo, tukutuku, tāniko and the like.

We are proud to present these works of silver by Māori artists from the national network of Toi Māori Aotearoa.
