This work explores feminine strength, nurture and connection through abstracted, interwoven forms. The figure, folded inward yet expansive in presence, evokes a sense of quiet power and introspection. Earthy reds, ochres and umbers ground the composition, connecting the body to whenua and whakapapa. The figure’s form – part vessel, part shield – hints at motherhood and protection. Subtle divisions in tone and shape speak to the many facets of identity held within one being
