This painting draws inspiration from the serene beauty of koi fish, long revered as symbols of perseverance, harmony, and good fortune. Capturing the mechanics of water is something I have been especially interested in recently and challenges me to find a more intuitive flow in my painting. The setting captures a tranquil pond, its surface rippling gently to explore the interaction between water and light. The koi are a reminder to take moments to be present in the beauty in life’s flow.
