Kaihono Āhua: Vision Mixer – Revisioning Contemporary New Zealand

This catalogue documents the 2013 exhibition project, Kaihono Ahua: Vision Mixer: Revisioning Contemporary New Zealand Art at The Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatu, Nelson. The exhibition was an experiment in biculturalism and remixed the stereotypes of Māori and Pākehā culture; framing Māori as Modernists and Pākehā as Primitive to create a provocative political experience that challenged perceptions of identity in New Zealand art.
