This kete was made in remembrance of those who were involved with everything to do with the rebuilding of Rangiātea church, our kaumātua who attended all the meetings, trips to Tūwharetoa to the site where we sourced tōtara, to Omarupapako for kiekie, and the kiekie preparation for tukutuku panels. This kete is made from the leftover kiekie from the tukutuku weaving.
