4:00pm – Assemble at pōwhiri point

4:30pm – Pōwhiri commences

5:45pm – Pōwhiri concludes

  • Host Pānui – Te Ururoa Flavell, MC/Kaitiaki i te wā me ngā mahi, accommodation , updates, photo in front of wharenui
  • 35 Delegates escorted to accommodation at Waitetī Marae (the rest at Tarimano Marae).

6-7:30pm – Registrations Open in Whare Karakia

6:30pm – Kai o te pō

7:30pm –

  • Chairperson of TRRWOA mihi whānui ki ngā mema & Te Kāhui Whiritoi
  • Introductions to the 7 candicates standing for the TRRWoA Board

8:30pm – Ka tuwhera Te Whare Pora – weavers set up in Marquee

12:00 – Keynote Speaker: Rangituatahi Te Kanawa

1:00pm – Kai o te rā

2-4:30pm – Te Whare Pora

4:30-5:30pm – Kai o te pō

6.15pm – Travel to Te Puia for evening event ‘Kākahutia Te Ao’ showcasing excellence in kākahu

6.30pm – Ka tūwhera ngā tatau

7-9pm – Kākahutia te ao commences (MC’s Cori Marsters, Karl Leonard)

9.00pm – Return to Tarimano to continue weaving

11.00pm – Ka tā te manawa mō te pō

Sun 26 Oct - Rā Tuatoru:

7:30am – Kai o te ata

8:30am – Te mahi whatu! Te mahi raranga! Te mahi a te tuitui!

10:00am – BGM commences

12:30pm – Kai o te ahiahi

1.30-12:15pm – He Piupiu Huatau – talk on piupiu challenges, Kākahutia te ao, pātai

1:30-4:30pm – Open hours to community and public

5-6pm – Kai o te pō

6-9pm – Kei te wātea (Free time)

Mon 27 Oct - Rā Tuawhā:

7.30am – Parakuihi, whakapai marae

9.00am – Mihi whakakōpani (poroporoaki), te tuku i te mauri – closing and handing over of mauri

Other important notices:

  • No set times for ‘paramanawa’ – our kohanga next to the main marquee is set up for the rolling morning and afternoon teas. Feel free to visit when necessary. 

 

  • Closed water bottles only permitted in Te Wharepora (the marquee). 

 

  • Waka Kōkiri (TPK) – hauora mobile truck will be on site Saturday. 

 

  • Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Pikiao – a team providing body work, easy koha for delegates, offset by host koha. 

 

  • Te wai mimi a Pekehāuacool waters of the Awahou river, local whānau are aware of our event and that delegates may take time out for bathing/healing, kia mauri tau te mahi!
